Why the lists differ
ICE's public list includes only facilities that held at least one person on the day ICE pulled its data, and it leaves out hold rooms, hospitals and some temporary sites. ICE's own records show people held in 626 places this fiscal year. We include every place on ICE's list plus any other place averaging 25 or more people a day: Florida Soft Sided Facility South, AZ Removal Operation Coordination Center (AROCC), Baltimore Hold Room, Atlanta District Hold Room, Federal Correctional Institution Leavenworth, Marion County Jail, Broome County Correctional Facility, Los Angeles ICE Custody Holding, Miami (Miramar) Hold Room, Cumberland County Jail.
